About this page

Where does this information come from?

We gather public outage notices from ECG, NEDCo and GRIDCo, and from Ghanaian news sites that republish them (Graphic, Citi, MyJoyOnline, GhanaWeb, GNA and others). Each notice links to its source. The list is refreshed twice a day.

My area isn't listed but light still goes off. Why?

Utilities only announce planned maintenance and some faults. Many cuts happen with no notice at all, so they never appear here. If your area isn't listed, it doesn't mean light won't go off.

Is this the official ECG schedule?

No. This is an independent summary by Optima FlexPay to help Ghanaians plan. Times and areas can change at short notice, so always check the utility's own announcement (linked on each notice) or contact the utility directly.

How can I stop worrying about dumsor?

Solar power keeps your lights, fan, TV and freezer running when the grid is off. With Optima FlexPay you pay a small deposit and the rest in small Mobile Money payments. See how PAYGO works.
